A number of things changed over the years but the guild efforts have remained the same by donating quilts on an ongoing basis throughout the year.
The program was named Gracie quilts in memoriam to little Grace in 1998.
Due to changes in hospital acceptance policies we now donate to Seattle Children’s Hospital and Everett Providence Regional Cancer Partnership. These two areas are in much need, and the response from the quilts they have received from us has been, “overwhelmingly grateful”.

Gracie Quilt Guidelines
Size: Approximately (does not need to be exact) Lap
size: 45” x 60”,
Large Lap size: 54” x 78”, crib size: 34” x 42”.
Pattern/Design:
Your choice
Material:
Washable, cotton top, flannel or fleece backing
Batting: Your
choice, if using fleece as backing no batting is required.
Quilting: Your choice—hand,
machine. For fleece backed you may tie with cotton perle thread.
Doll Quilts
As part of an on going commitment to our community, Busy Bee Quilters donate over 200 doll quilts each year in conjunction with Verizon/Norwesco Pioneer Club which donates attaching dolls. Quilts are due to the Coordinator a the November evening meeting in time to be on display at Verizon before being distributed before the holiday season. Doll quilt size is 18-22 inches square.
Comfort Shell Quilts
Rosie Tatel: Coordinator for Comfort Shell Quilts
The comfort shell quilts are made for children 0-18 years of age, living at the Interfaith shelter in Everett. Rosie communicates with the shelter manager to determine the quilts needed and she also arranges for the delivery of the quilts made by the Busy Bee membership. When the children leave the shelter they take the quilt with them.

Material: Good quality washable fabric please. Remember the children take the quilts with them when they leave.

Quilting: Your choice—hand, machine
