DOLL QUILTS

As Part of an ongoing commitment to our community, Busy Bee Quilters donates over 200 doll quilts each year in conjunction with Verizon/Norwesco Pioneer Club, which donates attaching dolls. Quilts are due to the Coordinator at the November Business Meeting, in time for display at Verizon.
They are then distributed to less fortunate children in our community, but also to foster an appreciation for quilts in generations to come.

http://digits.stumbleupon.com/tag/babies/    GRACIE QUILTS           In 1998, Grace, the niece of a Busy Bee member, died at Harborview Medical Center at the age of four.  The family was given a bereavement kit, which included a lock of hair, handprints, and a quilt. We were all so touched by this act of kindness that we decided to support Harborview Medical Center, Monroe Valley General and Providence Everett Hospitals, in their efforts by donating quilts on an ongoing basis throughout the year.  These quilts are used in the pediatric emergency ward and go home with the family.  We named this program "Gracie Quilts" in memoriam to Grace.
